Name: Religion and life
Narrative: Item is a lecture delivered to the Kerrisdale Baptist Church. Davidson asserts that by studying a man's life, one could discover his religion. He urges his listeners to return to the simplicity of the religion of Jesus of Nazareth; by studying his life and teachings, one may come closer to the spirit his life inspires.
Davidson often made connections between his religious values and his botanical work. In this 1934 speech to members of the Kerrisdale Baptist Church, Davidson says that life and religion are closely intertwined, and that for many years, God has been revealing himself in a marvelous way to men of science in their search for truth. Davidson believed that God Himself appears in many areas of nature.
